Random Stuff

What up peeps? I had a lovely weekend at the lake with my girls! So much fun! It was also very chill…lots of lounging around and chit chatting and drinking wine. Right up my alley! Phyllis enjoyed it, she loves being up there probably more than I do! The only thing that sucked was that the weekend had to end. The good thing is that I will be back up there in 9 days so I can’t complain too much! I have some friends getting married in the Cleveland area next weekend and since it’s also my birthday, we decided to make a little road trip out of it. On Friday we’ll drive to Cleveland and maybe go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame before having a nice dinner. Then Saturday morning we will drive about an hour away to the wedding, which is going to be quite the affair. Should be very fancy…and also fun! Then Sunday morning we’ll make the drive up to the lake, which will be about a 7 hour trip. I’ll be up at the lake for an entire week! I am really looking forward to seeing my family and relaxing. Everyone needs a little of that!

I’ve been back on my workout routine for a few weeks and I’m so much happier. It really makes a difference in my mood…and also how my clothes fit! I’m doing 5-6 days/week, at least 60 minutes per session. And tough workouts too…not just walking for an hour, but not that there’s anything wrong with that. I like to keep challenging myself. Also, I’ve been sticking to eating mostly plant based foods and I can honestly say when I do that, I feel incredible! My skin looks amazing, the best it has in forever! I have more energy, fewer stomach issues, and my allergies and runny nose seem to be much better. I think it’s because of hardly having any dairy products, it must have decreased the amount of mucous or something. What do I eat, you might ask. Lots of veggies and fruits, soy milk and soy yogurt, beans, potatoes, quinoa, couscous, pasta, lentils, nuts, nut butter…the list goes on and on. I’ve been tracking my protein and other nutrients and I was surprised to find that I’ve had more than enough protein without any animal products at all. Virtually every food has a bit of protein in it so really is pretty easy to get enough of it in your diet. Actually, the average American gets 3 to 4 time as much protein as they need on a daily basis. I never knew that before! I haven’t fully become a veggie, I did have some chicken and crab in the past 2 weeks. Also I have had a few slices of cheese but that’s it. But I think my intention is to fully give up meat of any kind.

Let’s see, what else? I am still hanging out on Streamate a lot so come find me if you haven’t already! http://maggiegreen.cammodels.com Make sure you check out the site because it’s updated 4-5 times per week! Next week is a hot solo set that Jelena Jensen shot of me! Then the week after is my first set with bootylicious Kelly Divine! Holy fuck, it was HOT!

Here’s some photos of me enjoying the lake! XOXO

Heat Wave!

Good morning! It’s not even 8 AM and already it’s hot and humid out. It’s been about 100 degrees here all week and just miserable! Phyllis doesn’t even want to be outside, she wants to go potty and then immediately comes back inside to cool off. I’ve been getting up extra early to walk her before it gets too hot and also late at night. Ugh. I’m leaving this afternoon to go up north to the lake with two of my girlfriends so I can’t wait to get in the water for some relief! Although it’s going to be hot there as well but at least I can sit in the lake all day…if it doesn’t rain. If it does, I’ll sit outside in the rain! But I’m looking forward to spending time with these girls, we do this trip every year and it’s always a blast. Phyllis is excited too : ) She saw me packing her stuff, including her favorite football, and I think she knows something’s up : )

After my last post, I’ve been doing a lot of reading and soul searching about eating animals. The fact of the matter is that I don’t know if I want to anymore. I really don’t. In the past week, I’ve had a bit of chicken and a turkey hotdog and a little bit of cheese but that’s it. I’ve had a few days where I didn’t have any meat, eggs or dairy at all and guess what? I feel really good! I seem to have some more energy which surprised me. Not quite sure yet where this is taking me but it’s definitely opened my eyes and I’ve been trying new foods which is always fun. I’ve also been eating less processed stuff and that’s so much better for you as well. I also bought some  new products that don’t test on animals, which is something else that I’ve always hated to think about.

This week’s update is Putt Putt Pussy! Ha! I got to shoot on a private putting green in Las Vegas : ) Super sexy!  And next week is a new HARDCORE update! Always something naughty and hot coming on my site!

Have a great week everyone!

Changing my Life

I love my country. I think the United States is an amazing place to live and that I am blessed to have been born and raised here. We enjoy many liberties that others simply do not have and sometimes we lose sight of that. However, there are lots of things about this country that I do not like, things that I even hate. One of those things is the food industry. Seems like every few months there’s something new that they tell us…don’t eat fat, don’t eat carbs, red meat is bad, fat is good now, carbs are ok in moderation, organic this and that…I could go on and on. What many people fail to realize is that the food industry is a BIG business and they’ll tell us anything to sell products. More and more food labels pop with claiming ” All Natural” or ” Good Source of Fiber”…what exactly does this mean? If it’s all natural then it must  be good for you, right? Ha! It’s like they try and dupe us over and over and it makes me sick!

I’ve been fed up with the food industry for years now, reading books such as In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan and trying to make food choices that are less processed and better for me. Years ago, I stopped eating beef and pork because I couldn’t stomach eating a cow or a pig. So my meat has consisted of fish, seafood and poultry. In recent years, I learned some horrifying things about chicken farms and decided only to buy chicken from health food stores that comes from Amish farms. It’s much more expensive but the chickens are treated more humanely and the meat doesn’t contain any fillers or additives. It always creeped me out when I would see chicken breasts that say “contains up to a 15% sodium solution” or something of that nature.  Just do a little research and you’ll see what can go into that solution and it’s nasty.I don’t want to eat that shit! In the last year, I switched over to soy milk because I just had a feeling that I wouldn’t like what I had to read about the dairy process and I started wondering why as humans are we told that we need food meant for a calf. Weird. In the last few months, eggs and egg substitutes have also been giving me the willies and for reasons that I can’t explain, but I just didn’t want to eat them anymore.

Last week, something happened that I think will change my life. I’m not sure what I was looking up online but somehow I began researching the farming process and my discoveries were 20 times more horrifying than I ever imagined them to be. I knew chickens were mistreated, living in tiny cages stacked on top of one another, pooping all over themselves and the birds below them. I knew that they didn’t even have the room to open their wings and that these chickens were so genetically modified that they could never survive on their own. That’s basically why I stopped eating chicken from factory farms. But I didn’t know that they cut off their beaks, without any kind of pain killers, and it gets even worse than that. I don’t want to go into too many details but I also discovered that the dairy industry is no better. Cows are also kept in quarters way too small for them and when they give birth, the calves are immediately torn away from their mothers so they don’t drink the precious milk that we humans must have. This is apparently very traumatic for both the mother and the baby…can you imagine…and if the calf is a male, it’s dragged off to a dark crate and turned into veal and the female calves become over worked dairy cows like their mothers. Cows can live up to 25 years but after 5-6 years they kill dairy cows b/c they no longer can produce the milk that they used to. And they are not killed nicely either : ( I could go on and on but it’s too graphic for my blog, just google it for yourself and you’ll be horrified at how these cruel and unhealthy practices are common place and a part of farming in our country today. I spent about a half hour bawling my eyes out after doing some reading, it didn’t take much to make feel sick to my stomach.

I am not necessarily against eating animal meat or dairy. Humans are omnivores which means we can eat both plants and animals. But we’re not meant to eat animals that are pumped full of antibiotic and hormones, abused and slaughtered horrifically, and never see the light of day. That’s not what nature intended. Just like we’re not meant to exist on McDonalds, pizza and frozen dinners. It’s disgusting. So much of what we eat isn’t food, it’s food products.

So now that I know what I know, what’s my next step? The past few days 90% of my food has been vegetarian, some even vegan…which means no animals products at all. I still plan on eating my chicken from the Amish farms but even less than I do now. I don’t think I’ll be eating any more chicken at restaurants and lunchmeat or any kind. I already love veggies, whole grains and fruits so I have no problem adding even more to my diet. I am struggling with what to do about cheese, I am going to try some of the soy cheeses but I also plan to only buy cheese and yogurt from more humane farms, which I’ve been researching. I know I’m going to feel sooo much healthier and also much better about what I’m eating.

I wish this stuff was more widely known about but the food industry does not want to expose their dirty laundry. Why would they?

I’ll keep you updated on my journey and how I do with this new food mentality!

Here’s photo of me and Aria to lighten the mood!!!

Back to Reality

I just got back from my trip to the lake last night and I am having a hard time snapping back to reality today. It couldn’t have been a more perfect trip! The weather was amazing except for the first day, it was overcast and rained a little but it wasn’t too bad. I still made it to the driving range and then it cleared up enough to go out in the boat. Phyllis was so happy to be back there..lots of squirrels and chipmunks for her to chase. Not to mention she likes to swim and hang out on the boat with us, she always wants to be a part of what’s going on.

I had a few friends come visit who had never been there before and they loved every second! Perfect weather…78-82 degrees and sunny every day! We golfed, water skiied, took the boat out and drank beer in the hot sun, swam, shopped, and just relaxed. Ate great food, drank cocktails, went wine tasting…we did a lot in the few days that we had!

The only mishap was with the fireworks. We got some really good ones in Ohio and I thought everything was fine, they went off without a hitch. Until the next day when my neighbor informed me that we burned some small holes in their boat. Also all the debris flew into the boat and it was a mess. They weren’t too happy but we smoothed everything out. Stuff like that just happens when you’re on a lake for the 4th….right?

So now I’m back home to a garden full of weeds and lots of work to catch up on. Sigh. I hope everyone had a great holiday as well! I’ve got my American Beauty photo set up this week on the site and the video comes out on Friday so don’t miss that! Next week you’ll get to see my first set with Aria Giovanni and I KNOW you’re going to be excited for that! Time to get some shit done…later!
